Nut-Free & Dairy-Free (but not Taste-Free) Pesto
Recipe type: Sauces
- 4 c. basil, stems removed
- ¼ c. sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp pumpkin butter (heaping)
- 4 cloves garlic
- ¼ c. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- ½ tps lemon pepper
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Combine ingredients in a blender or food processor & blend well.
- If you need to thin out the sauce, add more extra virgin olive oil.
- To really make this an allergen-free dish, serve over cooked rice pasta.
